This is an easy workshop stool using simple joining methods (screws or dowels). The stool has square seating area of 300 x 300 mm large and a height of 450 mm.

This piece is the result of a series of 1:5 models built to explore a non-primitive chair built exclusively with a single section.

It features back legs tilted by 3.5 degrees sideways and front legs tilted the same 3.5 degrees both to the side and to the front. The backrest part of the back legs is tapered 10 degrees backwards.

The chair is intentionally constructed in a way it can be assembled exclusively with screws - both for it's particular raw aesthetic appeal and to enable non-professionals to build it. However it can also be joined with traditional joining methods like mortise and tenons.

This is a minimal, yet complete construction of a bench for casual seating, which is statically sound. It's legs are tapered in 2 dimensions with an angle of 7 degrees and joined with tenons. The seating board is glued from 3 pieces and has a length of 1000 mm, the open height below is 265 mm.

It's worthwhile to mention that this style of bench is ubiquitous all over Eastern Asia, however usually with a number of tenons different than 4, as 4 is considered an unlucky number.

Zadai is a small and exceptionally light meditation bench to travel with. The precisely handcrafted mortise and tenon joint - one of the oldest techniques in furniture making and the epitome of carpentry craftsmanship - allows for working with minimal material thickness.

The legs are tilted 7 degrees to the outside, the top has a 12 degree tilt downwards.

This table is a piece representing SCHATZL's approach to furniture making in every aspect. It combines a minimalistic design language with the value of traditional joinery techniques, where function and form coincide - the defining constructive elements are both at once.
